Structural draftsman

Job Description

As an architectural draftsman, you will be engaged in making technical drawings. You design and detail building plans using CAD software. You draft floor plans, cross-sections, facade views and construction drawings, but you also have a supporting role in building designs. You will have strong communication skills, as you will work extensively with building professionals. You will also handle administrative tasks and adjust drawings as needed based on feedback or changes in the project.

To be successful within this position, we ask the following of you:

• You have completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Engineering;
• You preferably have knowledge of steel construction and Tekla 3D drawing;
• You can work well independently but also enjoy working within a professional team;
• You have communication skills so you can easily work with other disciplines in construction;
• You work accurately and have an eye for detail;
• You work solution-oriented and enjoy taking on challenging assignments.

A little more about the company

More than half a century ago, in 1966, 2 brothers from a village forge took the plunge into entrepreneurship. Soon the villagers asked them if they could do other jobs besides blacksmithing. This meant that from now on welding work was done and water pipes were repaired. This laid the foundation for a company that grows with customer demand. The company has since grown into a specialist in the fields of steel construction, roof & facade and installation.
